Figures: Miscellania [その他]

Over the entire course of the Biohazard series, other manufacturers have also been able to produce figures or sculpts of iconic characters, and there even has been some smaller series releases to boot. Anything that was not released by the larger branches like ToyBiz, Palisades, NECA et al are all listed here. It's a bit of a wild ride with a lot of quality and style variation.

Title: ACTION FIGURE SERIES Biohazard 2 Leon S. Kennedy 1/12 Scale (アクションフィギュアシリーズ・バイオハザード2 LEON 1/12) [FM01]
Released: 1998
Manufacturer: Yutaka (ユタカ)
Retail: N/A
Size: 5.9"/15cm

Information:
One of many subsidiaries of Bandai, Yutaka was known for the production of low-end budget figures with a mixture of moulded pieces and fabric clothing for their human releases. This was one of Leon's first figure releases, coming complete with a fabric RPD uniform and a plastic sprue with a number of weapons that could be obtained throughout the game: Remington M1100-P, H&K VP70, Desert Eagle .50AE, and the Submachine Gun.

Being a budget series figure it has some pretty hilarious face sculpting, complete with Leon's signature CG 'fishy lips', but it is pretty hard to come by these days complete.

Title: Capcom Figure Builder Creator's Model: Biohazard Jill Valentine Revelations Ver. Enamel White Edition (カプコンフィギュアビルダー クリエイターズモデル バイオハザード ジル・バレンタイン リベレーションズ Ver. エナメルホワイトエディション) [FM02]
Released: 27/11/2014
Manufacturer: Capcom (株式会社カプコン)
Retail: N/A
Size: 7.8"/20cm

Information:
The second figure released for the Biohazard Lottery that was run in 2014 -- this enamel white edition of the Jill figure was listed as the 'Survivor Prize', or what is usually called the 'Last One Prize' in most Ichiban Kuji releases, meaning you had to draw the very last prize of the lotto to get a chance at the figure.

It has the same mould as the A Prize Jill, just in a pearly white enamel. Kind of a shame they didn't go for a lamé or kirakira finish, but it still is pretty amazing and stands out starkly amongst others.

Also: that name is a mouthful even in Japanese.

Title: Nendoroid Chris Redfield 20th Anniversary Commemorative Version (ねんどろいど クリス・レッドフィールド20周年記念版ロゴ入り特製台座)[FM03]
Released: 03/2017
Manufacturer: Good Smile Company (グッドスマイルカンパニー)
Retail: 4,700円
Size: 3.9"/10cm

Information:
The BEST figure, hands down. I do recall squealing quite loudly over a Discord call to friends when the announcement came from the 2016 World Hobby Fair Autumn catalogues, because I never thought that good ol' Biohazard would get a Nendo at any point.

Chris comes with a crapton of goodies -- given the version I got was the first run, it comes with a special 20th Anniversary logo pedestal. He also packs a rocket launcher, his Samurai Edge, a green herb, and a knife. Chris also has a battle-face face plate, and even little rockets that can be added to the launcher for it to be 'in use'. Orders done through Good Smile Company direct also got a Red Herb, which I didn't receive since I went through tried and true AmiAmi.

An absolute favourite. I really hope they do more, as I'd especially love to see Claire get a Nendo to go with her brother!

Title: POP Games: Resident Evil Tyrant (POP! バイオハザード タイラント) [FM02]
Released: 2017
Manufacturer: Funko (ファンコ)
Retail: $29.95
Size: 5.9"/15cm

Information:
I am not a huge fan of the Funko Pop figures in the slightest, given the very cut and paste nature of their stylings and how prevalent they are in the figure industry to a point of over-saturation, but I could not bypass the Biohazard releases because they are the first Western release figures for the series since the days of NECA.

The Tyrant I have is the glow in the dark variant, which its only difference is: it glows in the dark! He's a hefty Pop as both the Tyrant and the Hunter releases were done as oversized DX ones.

Title: POP Games: Resident Evil Hunter (POP! バイオハザード ハンター) [FM02]
Released: 2017
Manufacturer: Funko (ファンコ)
Retail: $29.95
Size: 5.9"/15cm

I think the Hunter and Licker POP figures were the best of the releases, but it is hard to find a hunter without mangled claws given their packaging. Thankfully I got creme of the crop when I hunted (heh) mine down. I do love his dorky toothy grin.

Title: POP Games: Resident Evil Nemesis (POP! バイオハザード ネメシス) [FM02]
Released: 2017
Manufacturer: Funko (ファンコ)
Retail: $29.95
Size: 3.5"/9cm

Information:

Good ol' Nemesis, complete with Rocket Launcher. Thanks to his stocky feet he balances fairly well which is a pleasant change, and thanks to how Nemesis' facial features are he lacks the cut and paste aspect of most Funkos thanks to unique sculpting.

Title: POP Games: Resident Evil Licker (POP! バイオハザード リッカー) [FM02]
Released: 2017
Manufacturer: Funko (ファンコ)
Retail: $29.95
Size: 3.5"/9cm

The Licker is probably my favourite of the series to be honest. It's cute, has adorable claws, and an eerie grin only a series fan could appreciate.

Title: POP Games: Resident Evil Jill Valentine (POP! バイオハザード ジル・バレンタイン) [FM02]
Released: 2017
Manufacturer: Funko (ファンコ)
Retail: $29.95

And we're down to the two most lacklustre releases of the set: the humans. Jill comes equipped with her signature Samurai Edge beretta, and requires a stand due to head/body ratio making her unable to balance on her own.

Title: POP Games: Resident Evil Leon S. Kennedy (POP! バイオハザード レオン・S・ケネディ) [FM02]
Released: 2017
Manufacturer: Funko (ファンコ)
Retail: $29.95

And we're down to the two most lacklustre releases of the set: the humans. Leon is armed with a shotgun and dons his Biohazard 4 attire, complete with vest. Though he has thicker legs/feet in his moulding he does like to fall over a lot due to head/body ratio. I just love that they didn't even try to compete with Nendoroid by making a Chris, given he'd.. look exactly the same as Leon for the most part without being anywhere near as cute.
